Dallas airport hotels

Any suggestions please, for a hotel on or near DFW for one night? It'll literally be a place to lay our weary heads late in the evening and then depart early the next day, so hopefully, would be looking for one that does a shuttle to the airport too. Any thoughts much appreciated!

If you want nice, go for the Four Seasons Las Colinas - I believe they don't have a shuttle, but the place will be well worth it. The proper "airport hotels" are much of a muchness. Weren't worth the hassle of not going to Las Colinas.

I'd usually be looking for nice, but as it'll be arrive late and leave to fly early the next day, proximity and shuttle seem to matter more this time!

Fair enough, I can understand that. I've been Marriott loyalist in the past, and now SPG plat, and you will find the usual assortments. Fairfield and Courtyard are v. cheap (abt 75+tax on weekends for example), Element SPG is interestingly different and a bit more but still under 100 dollars, or you can try Sheraton or Westin for a bit more of the full svc feel at still around 100 dollars. All of these will have free shuttles.

The Grand Hyatt, if you actually want to be 'in' the airport!
