weird pricing

soon to book a trip to Uk for mid October and did a search on cas them MPM PE from orlando. came out $1940 and $1650 respectively.
then tried via JFK and it was similar . just out of interest tried UC MPM $3700 :0 BUT then looked at cash just to see and ..................$2011.............so for 400 extra I can get UC with TPs and miles against PE MPM.hmmmmmmm tempting

That is pretty normal, long gone are the days where MPM fares made sense to anyone who spent 5 minutes researching them.

M+M works for some people and not others. It depends on the routing and if there is a sale/offers on your route - so if there is a sale M+M can be more expensive.

What this shows is that

a) there are idiosyncracies in the system

b) it pays to research all options when pricing a flight.
