How busy does the VH V-Room get

Hi all,
Thinking of booking the V-Room at Gatwick. We have a family holiday to MCO, my Au only let's the one in LGW CH and with the mini-me's traveling as well I have been informed it is bad form to leave the kids out in the main departure lounge :0 :0
I don't mind the £20 each as long as it's not paying £20 just to be like the normal concourse with a few broken games.

Any one's experiences would be great to hear.

In case you don't already know, you can pay to get them into the CH as additional guests to your +1 allowed as an AU. Think it's £25 each per child at LGW. Much better option than the V-Room I'd have thought!

I did know about getting them in but it seems to be hit and miss sometimes if you will be allowed from what I can see.
Looking at this from a value point of view £25 for the lounge and £20 for the V-Room. For the kids it seems a no brainer. For me I like the red 8D so for me the lounge is better (and free!!)
I wonder if I can pay for the kids and just leave them in there for a few hours playing games??? ):

The V-Room can be very busy during school holidays - or does it just seem more busy as there are more children !!
They were quite strict about what time they would allow us in too.

I would suggest using the CH, there's an area for children and they also have a couple games consoles such as a wii to keep them occupied and some laptops if you want to surf the WWW.

I thought there was an adults only section within the V-Room also.
I'm booked in there on 20 november, am sure it will be better than wandering around aimlessly for 2 hours waiting for my flight to be called

I haven't been in for a couple of years, but when we used the V-Room there was such a section.

The more I think about it I think it's more down to others in the CH. How would I feel if there were two 12 year olds making a noise and keep asking for more food and eating all the cookies??
Would the V-Room be a better enviroment for this??

I really think you're worrying too much. Unless your children are completely uncontrollable, you're not going to have problems in the CH. My 2 are a bit younger, but they generally get very excited whenever they're in a lounge (somehow they seem to have got the idea that it's a special perk for them because daddy is important :w ). But not once has there been a raised eyebrow from anyone. In my experience, the sort of people that tut over children playing will also tut over adults rustling a newspaper too loudly, or fidgeting. Or breathing in a funny way.

So as long as they are reasonably behaved, it has to be the CH. LGW has a Wii that they can use to wear themselves out on if needed...

On my last visit to the CH there were two children playing on the games console and they were no bother to me or my girlfriend. I actually wanted to join In playing on the wii but I controlled myself. But it's all personal preference. If you have the right to go and use te CH then do it not everyone is all suited and booted You shouldn't have to worry about other peoples opinions, your there to enjoy your holiday so do so!

what for having so many children

I have only used the V-Room once, when the Clubhouse was being refurbished and on that day it was absolutely packed to the rafters, standing room only.

If the money stacks up, I'd definitely opt for the Clubhouse.
