Hi,
Having nothing better to do I thought I'll have a play with flightradar and see what is happening to the virgin flights into Florida ( we are flying on the 9th Sep).

It seems all the flights in to Florida are taking a more western route instead of hugging the Atlantic coast of the states, the flights into Miami are actually coming down the gulf coast of Florida. I though they would want to stay away from Issac not get closer.

Anyone know why this is? Sorry for such a boring question :|

well Isaac has come and is on its way out with nowhere near the problems expected. These guys do panic on a major scale. we had people putting up shutters, panic buying generators even talking of evacuating. damage on the gulf side has been minimal, its mainly been high sea levels. the east coast oddly enough got huge amounts of rain (Palm Beach10") so I suspect the routes have taken the planes over the winds and then sneaking in behind the heavy rain. should all be done by Thursday
