Just received this email from VS,

We regret to advise there has been a time change to VS0005 on 21MAR on ref E*****. The flight is now departing Heathrow on 21MAR at 1245 arriving Miami at 1840. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. :(!

Can anyone shed any light on the reason why?

thanks,

Karen

UK clocks change on 31st March but US a couple of weeks earlier on the 10th so that could be the explanation.

BUT is shows a lack of forethough by VS as this happens every year!

The VS5 does tend to move around quite a lot - no doubt VS just playing with their slots at LHR.

Got a similar email today for our flight (VS5) on 7th March which has moved from 1230 to 1245. Seems good to me - 15 more mins in Clubhouse or 15 mins longer in bed at the Sofitel or similar.
Change on the return as well of about 25 mins.

Thanks, so annoying but not as bad as this year with the return flight being 3 hours earlier than originally scheduled.

Timings on this route have cost e dearly in the past as I use it when traveling onto certain other destinations. I am taking 10 of my family to Turks and Caicos next year and wondering if we can risk the connection as as a result we will be booking 10 business class seats with AA. :(!
