we have managed to secure great seats in upper class, and I was wondering if anyone has found that when online check in opens that the seats they had previously secured had been changed?
Is it best to check in as soon as online check in opens or is it the case that anytime upto - 13 hours is OK?
I accept that if the type of plane changes this might happen, but does it happen when the type hasnt changed? :)

The phantom seat shifters can strike in all cabins - so you just have to keep an eye on your booking, there isn't much you can do about it except switch back if your original seat is still available. As Penny says - you can be sure that your seat request has been honoured when your bum is in it. :D 8D
