Random one I know, but we flew back on KSS on Monday night from MCO. Usually when we have flown on the A330 we have always had a pair of seats, but because there were 3 of us travelling this time I went for a middle 3.
Now, there are 4 lights, but only 3 seats with the ability to turn them off, which meant that for the whole flight the 2 light from the right in the middle section, along the whole PE cabin remained on. I asked the FSM if she could turn them off, and despite her initially trying by adjusting the brightness on my screen (I kid you not), she decided that it wasn't possible and suggested I try an eye mask.
It seems extremely strange that there is no way those lights can be turned off, and meant for the night flight I had a very bright light shining direct on me when I was in the reclined position. I can't stand using eye masks so got very little sleep.
Has this affected anyone else before? Do any of our crew know if they can be turned off?
