Upgrade help

We are flying in ECO to ANU in a couple of weeks. Last night Hubby decided that he would quite like to try and upgrade from ECO to PE.

Have tried calling VH (who the whole holiday is booked with) and can't get though. Have also tried calling VS direct and can't get though (to be fair I know they'll be busy with people stranded due to Sandy).

Is this an impossible task? Is it worth trying? Who would be best to get hold of VS or VH?

You will only be able to do the upgrade with VH. VS won't even talk to you about it as the booking was made via an agent.

All you can do is keeping trying VH on the phone.

I would have thought it perfectly possible providing it's not a MPM flight Etc, which by the sounds of it is unlikely. I'm sure the more informed posters will keep me right if i'm wrong! I would keep on trying.

As Neil mentioned, only VH will be able to offer you an upgrade before you fly as you have booked via them. VS will not be able to do anything as they cannot alter or even talk to you about flight bookings made by VH.

You should still be able to upgrade with cash at the airport on the day you fly directly with VS though depending on availability if VH cannot do anything before hand.

Got though to VH in the end, their allocation is all sold out so said it maybe possible to upgrade on the day.

Was planning to do online check in and bag drop the night before, but we're not planning on getting to LGW till early evening so will see.
