Can any of you good people help me out with which is the best way to spend my miles on a flight to Boston in April.
To be honest I'm totally lost when it comes to working out what is the best deal.
Want to fly UC so do I just spend the relevant miles and pay the surcharges or do I buy a econ or PE ticket and then upgrade with miles.
Basically I want to do what's most economical.
Joey I see you particularly like these sort of questions from recent posts so I thought I would give you something to do tonight ! Ha ha
Seriously I'm hopeless at this sort of thing so any help as always greatly appreciated

If your only aim is to get there the cheapest possible way and you have enough miles, then a straight miles reward just paying taxes is always going to be the cheapest option.

If you however don't have enough miles, or still want to earn miles/TP's towards future spending potentials then buying an M economy fare and upgrading to UC with miles is your next best (and cheapest) option. You use less miles, yet still earn miles and TP's for the economy ticket you paid for with cash.

The other option is an S PE fare upgraded with miles, but this certainly won't be a cheap option and can sometimes be nearly as much as a revenue Z fare, especially if there is a sale on.

That pretty much is all your options.

I think it all depends on how many miles you have to start with ?
