It doesn't matter what fare code you are on. if you are travelling U.C, then regardless of whether the flight is paid by cash, miles or a combo...you're eligible for revivals. |:)

I do it often!. :D

No guests allowed though.
Enjoy

Yes all upper class fare codes including g (reward fares) provide access to revivals!

When I last went through IAD the crabby check in agent made sure that my G status was displayed for all to see. She put a capital G on both parts of the boarding card and put several rings around both of them for emphasis.... Not quite sure what point she was making as she suddenly became very polite when I told her I had been through IAD / into the lounge before ...

But there was no problem getting into Revivals.

I really don't see the point of doing that Mandy in fact I think it is a little bit offensive.

The only time anything should be written is if it is an op-up where you don't get lounge access.

Concur with Mandy - the check in agents at JFK always write my fare code (L, K, G etc) on my lounge invite and boarding pass. Don't understand why.

When I worked at EWR, we did the same. It's to help the hosts working in the lounge to locate you on the guest list, as its grouped by Fare Code. So they know whether to ask about Limo etc depending on what code you are in. It also speeds up your entry into the lounge.

I'm not sure it does! Why not just scan the BP and have an IT system that then immediately prompts the lounge agent to ask about the limo, if appropriate? i) Seems a bit silly to have the agents hunting through a list sorted by fare code!

I agree with what tontybear said upthread -- writing the fare-code seems inadvisable. When it first happened to me on a G ticket I wondered whether it was flagging to the agents that I was to be considered before revenue passengers for a downgrade if necessary. Glad that's not the case!

BTW thanks for explaining Dan :) y)

Money, presumably?

Assuming a fairly standard distribution of surnames, it is (I think) faster to search first by the limited number of fare codes and then by the surname.

We are only talking 40 odd names in UC not a whole plane load so (IMHO) no need for complicated lists.

But I could be on a G yet have a CDC bought with miles. How do they check that if I'm listed on the 'G' list?

I am a man not a fare code!
