Hi

We are travelling on VS75 PE from Manchester to Orlando on 24/05/13 and returning on 14/06/13 PE on VS76.

Looking at the flight DB, it looks like we will be on the A330 2 cabin, there are two adults and one 6 year old travelling,I can reserve seats in the cabin in a few weeks, so I was wondering the best seats to reserve, looking at the seat map tool, the ratings have no detail on peoples thoughts, so was wondering if anyone can comment on the best seats in PE for 2 adults + 1 child, from what I can see, row 26 is the back of the cabin so I presume reclining of seat maybe limited? I do not usually pick row 1 as the seat table & IFE can be abit awkward, even if you can get more leg room there.

Are there any other restrictions on the other row seats, rows like 22 get good ratings on the 3 centre seats ?

Thanks for any comments.

All PE rows have full recline, but you might find row 26 is blocked out and is only available for allocation at the airport.

To be honest there isn't really any difference in the seats, the more towards the front the better chance for getting your meal choice, towards the back you will be off a quicker if that is important.

That's a good idea, not really considered that, first time to Orlando with a child, previously been just 2 of us, so Window & Aisle was good in PE.

Seen mixed flight reports on A330 PE, been in the 747 bubble on previous PE flights which was great, so wanted to get the best seats since I have concerns on the A330.

Row 26 full recline and in our experience good seats. We were first off (and then ran into the back of the VS71 Glasgow flight).

The OP's flight on the A333 is their return back to the UK, so MCO immigration is not an issue relating to this flight.

With regards to booking a 2 and 1 rather than a 3, for me, it leaves you with an unknown. The person next to you could be the nicest person ever, or they could be the worst, wanting to be up and out of their seat a lot, noisy, a 'space hogger''. I would question is it worth taking that unknown risk, when a 3 will allow you access to two aisles and allow you to be in control of your in flight comfort rather than having someone else potentially be disruptive.

By the look of the seat map ratings/review tool its a 2 3 2 PE layout, so I was thinking of getting the middle 3, we'll probably put the 6 yr old in the middle seat and we will have the aisle seats.

Reading trip reviews on A333, one of the main problems is if PAX infront fully reclines, there's not much space left, so wanted to see if there was any particular row which is better.

Can you pre-book the front row in PE so no one can recline infront? I presumed they would be reserved for people needing cots (which we do not).

No, row 18 is only allocated at the airport and is held back specifically for any pax that might need a bassinet (18AC) or for any pax that have a special assistance requirement.

The space with a reclined seat in front isn't great if you keep your seat in an upright position, but with this being a night flight most people will be wanting to sleep and will therefore be reclining so as long as you do the same you won't have any problem. The crew should make sure that all seats are kept upright during the meal services.

I just reserved 22 D, F & G in PE for VS075 flight to MCO, I read in another thread that rows 22 & 23 are about the best, unless you can get the front or back row in PE, but that's probably for the airport as you cannot reserve them incase people need them for special requirements.

Seat reserving opened this weekend and I'm surprised how much had been reserved in PE, only the middle block of 3 had seats left to reserve, all the Window/Aisle seats were greyed out, could that be because we are flying as a family of 3?
