Newark Airport hotels

We're flying out of Newark in the summer on VS18, early departure of 0745. Staying night before in airport hotel but would appreciate some advice.

Which hotels could be recommended especially for short shuttle transfers. I hear the Marriott is connected to the terminal. Is this true?

No, it isn't connected as such, but it is close by -- just across a carpark and a road. (There is a good shuttle bus too, which I've always used.) The hotel is pretty soulless but comfortable enough.

No the marriot is just across the car park from the terminals, easy 5 minute walk or they provide a free shuttle service24hrs a day! Stayed their in jan before our morning flight home and can highly recommend it.

I stayed based on people's recommendations on this site and they weren't wrong!

I've stayed in the Hilton. A little bit further out than the Marriott but again a 24 hour shuttle bus.

I think I stayed at the Hilton some time ago. May give the Marriott ago as it seems nearer and has an outdoor pool. It will be July
