Hi fellow V-Flyers
As I'm still fairly new to V-Flyer apologies if this has been covered before.
I have always worn flight socks on long haul flights when travelling in either E or PE but I would like to ask if people feel that flight socks are still necessary if travelling in UC?

Always wear flight socks and will wear shoes if VS do not provide the "courtesy" socks as i would hate to think how filfthy those cabin floors must be

Definitely wear them. You don't get blood clots and PE' s (pulmonary embolisms) just from cramped conditions, it is also inactivity. You'll still be seated for a longer than usual period. I never fly without them or 3 days of asprin in my system if I can. I had a PE and I don't want another!

Hi all
Wow thanks for replies
Yes I think I will continue to wear flight socks in UC especially as the seat is way more comfortable so inactivity is more likely.
Has anyone experienced tingling sensation in feet before on a flight?

yes once, when in Y (yes I have traveled in Y so don't look :0 :0 :0 ) but some foot stretched and ankle flexes soon resolved it and then got up to go to the loo to stretch the legs.

It is often inactivity that is the cause of DVT (which can then lead to an embolism) rather than a simple lack of space - afterall people can get DVT from being in bed where there is plenty of space but if they don't move ...

Ah the CH headache - easily cured by an aspirin and the brisk walk to the plane !

Joeyc - I wonder why that would be? LOL

Tontybear et al - I was wearing flight socks but the tingling started just after take off and lasted till just before Landing. I was up and down like a yo yo lol but to no avail, when I approached the CC one of the girls simply said..."welcome to the world of being a woman" lol having said that they did try to help.
Anyway we are flying UC from LHR in December for the first time so really looking forward to the CH.
Any tips Joeyc?
