If they're considerably higher than normal it could well mean the cheapest fare bucket has sold out and you're being quoted for a pricier, more flexible one.

If that's the case a sale won't help as it tends to be only the cheapest, most inflexible fare bucket that is discounted.

Never say never though ... as for when the next sale is, the answer is whenever BA have theirs!

June is usually quiet on the Virgin flights to BGI and in previous years I have got very good prices ... around £500 or a little less. They are coming up at just over £600 at the moment.
I am wondering if it is because they are now using the smaller planes with less availability on those economy seats?
Lol! Maybe Virgin will do a sale first!

Don't forget that the closer to the flight date then the cheaper fare buckets with time restrictions (e.g. book 7,14, 28 days in advance etc) will start to drop out of the availability.
