Would you pay to reserve your seat ?

My first choice is going back to being able to select seat at booking - that was a real bonus.
I hate having to countdown to 90 days. If the airline has had my money from the earliest chance to book a flight, then I would enjoy the perk of choosing a seat.
However- if the only way is inevitably to pay - then I would .

Haven't VS come out and said that the 90 day thing is only a temporary measure though?

Even once you reach the 90 day point, or once once you select your seats, you then can't change them at a later date on some bookings.

I've still got that bug in my booking. I'm guessing it's related to Little Red flights as both bookings where I've had this issue have had Little Red flights in them.

I spoke to vs about this last week - the problems with seat maps/olci with some flights..

And yes, there is a problem when there is a booking with connecting lights on another airline, which is what little red technically is (aer lingus). And unlikely o be sorted any time soon...

Ahh, but then it could be very complicated, as in depends on what :D

The poll could have had a huge number of options such as if I am travelling alone, short haul, in different classes, with different status etc :)

It's quite an interesting thought process for VS if they go down the charging route, because at the moment, they would upset around half their customers :0

Probably "upset" more than that -- I wouldn't take "I would be willing to pay" as "I'd be happy to have to pay"... :?

Absolutely not - this is a worrying trend and I am suprised many of you seem unconcerned by it.

For me the fact I could pick my seat 180 days out was a differentiating factor of VS and a big part of the reason I favour them over other carriers. It's just part of the 'experience' that makes me prefer them. Dropping it to 90 days seemed like a curious backward step but no big deal but charging for seat selection?

No thanks - it's not as if the seats are cheap in the first place. I don't need to pay for seat selection at my local cinema so I don't expect to pay for it on a £600+ economy flight either.

BA charge - and this contributes to the list of reasons why I simply don't fly BA. It's a principle thing.

There is absolutely no operational reason to charge for this service, the only resaon is 'because they can' which is why I think its a bit odd that you all seem in favour of it.
