Well here I am at a very quiet Costa Coffee at T1. Great view of the landing planes so appreciate the tip to avoid the PP servisair affair.

Concerning that the EDI flight has only 57 passengers though. Great for space, but how long can VS support such low yields? Return looks only marginally better.

I think we're all a little impatient here and. VLR has only been flying a couple of months. Also, looking at one return isn't going to be indicative of all, other people have reported fuller planes for example. In time we'll get stats from the CAA and reports from VS, but it's still early.

My flight up on Thursday morning to EDI was slightly more than 75% full. (don't know how many seats the LR planes are configured for)

174 seats on the LR flights....as Slinky has said...Little Red has only been operating for 2 months. I've been following the loads on flights and loads are continuing to grow. in the first few weeks 30-40pax were common....it's now regularly in the 100's. Yields are a different thing but VS have always said this always launched this route to connect pax onto their international services. NRT-EDi is proving popular apparently.

Good to hear things are improving. Really hope this works out for VS. Can't fault the flight or ground staff.

Interesting to see virgin blocked out the first three rows so no one could sit in those seats. Is this a plane balance thing on a quiet flight to stop everyone sitting near the front, or something else? Maybe just for connecting pax in a hurry?

mmm interesting, I am going to be using little red in July so should be good. I am wanting to use little red but the problem i have is getting the leave from work not the ability to use it.

Hoping to convince my fiancee that our mini honeymoon should be in Scotland, just so I (I mean we ;) )can try LR!

I've taken a "few" Little Red flights since the launch, all on the MAN-LHR route and pleasing to see loads steadily increase over that time.....from 9 on the first few flights to loads in the high 70s last week......long may it continue. I will say lots of transfer passengers too which I know really pleases VS :D

Great crew on board and a fab funky service.

Yields. Hmm.

Had a friend just come back from a five night break to Edinburgh. Five nights B&B, four star hotel - admittedly not too close to centre and return Little Red flight: £212... I wonder if hotel or airline took the bigger hit?!

But early days, she'd never heard of Little Red but raved about free drink and snack so spreading the word.

News from Edinburgh Airport...

A record May, including this: "domestic traffic increased by 2.7% with "strong performances" from British Airways and Virgin Atlantic's new Little Red service to Heathrow."

Just done OLCI for tomorrow's flight home from EDI and seat map looking much busier than out bound. Maybe my previous concern was misplaced after all. Gotta love those easy tier points:)

Acording to my source at VS the VS3010 EDI-LHR on the 14th is full!! Hope it continues and Little Red expands and becomes great competition to BA domestic.

Great to see a bunch of BA metal cancelled out of EDI today due to French ATC probs. Little red seems unaffected no doubt due to the vs fleet not being caught up in Europe. Would be spitting feathers if I was on BA as usual...

Bears little resemblance to my experience of "flying" with Virgin Trains from Penrith to London!
Like the airline there has been a noticeable drop in standards over the years. Little things, but they all add up. Somehow neither is as "Special" as they once were, or am I becoming a dissolutioned old f**t? ?|

I don't think much of Virgin Trains, just odd that they highlight the London Manchester times on a route with no real rail competition, which could be to the detriment of Little Red.
