looks like they are rolling out 'conformance' that BA operate at T5 which means if you've not gone through security (or other check points) by t-X minutes then you're not getting on the plane.

Its supposed to ensure more on-time departures.

There are mixed feelings about it on the flyer talk BA thread. The antis mainly being the ones who have been caught out by it !

I like this technology overall, however I do have a couple queries.

1) it doesn't say whether there is a solid T-35 minutes cut off point as in T5, perhaps it varies by airline and destination?

2) I don't want to see this introduced for connections. As seen on the BA FlyerTalk page, this is where the lack of human touch is a problem as people miss connections which they could easily reach if the flight is departing from a gate literally metres away.
