Yes Revivals closes at 1.30.

You could look at the Air Canada arrivals lounge which is on the priority pass scheme but I would imagine that would close around that time too.

You could try to get a day rate at one of the nearby hotels. I think the Yotel at T4 does those.

There are some airport showers but am not sure if these are in T3 or not - check the LHR website.

I'd always presumed it was aimed at business men/women arriving in the morning after transatlantic flights, who need to freshen up get changed before heading into the city for work/meetings.

Yes and to cater for J pax who may need somewhere to wait before most hotels allow them to check-in in the early afternoon.

Twas ever thus

BA close the T5 one at 2.00 PM so it is not like VS are out of kilter.

Yotel charge by 3-4 hour slots throughout the day.

Follow the directions they give you if you book there though or else you will never find it ...

No.1 Traveller Lounge has bedrooms, but I have no idea if incoming pax go through that area. And prices are from £60

Depends which lounge you are in.

Recently VS have been putting pax in the Air France lounge due to over crowding in the NZ lounge (NZ changed the flight times of some of its flights)

According to this the AF lounge doesn't have showers.

Correct. They assume that anyone arriving after lunchtime has either a home or hotel to go to, and isn't likely to be going straight to work or into a meeting.

Keeping it open any longer would presumably involve introducing a second shift, thus doubling the staffing costs.
