So, just grabbed a fantastic fare before the 3 day sale finishes tonight, a combo fare or something ?| (upper on a G LGW to MCO and a return MIA to LHR in P/E on a K for £682 inc all the taxes y) )

Getting into LHR off the VS6 at 9.35am and needing a LR flight back home into EDI.

Hopefully the bags will be checked right through and I will use the flight connection route but do I go for the 11.20 or the 15.10 which is a bit of a hang on. ?|

Many thanks as usual

David

I don't know the answer to your question David, but kudos on that deal, well done :)

The bags can be checked straight through to EDI if all booked under one PNR (always a good idea)

I would go for the 11.20 - it is more than enough time to clear immigration and customs formalities, and may even leave a bit of time for some fun in the lounge.

If there are any delays and the booking is under one PNR then it will be up to VS to get you up to EDI - don't worry they will get ya there (eventually :P ).

Hope this has been of help David, and agreed with Bretty.. that is an awesome deal 8D

Hi Joey,

Added a little red flight today, different PNR and was told absolutely no problem booking luggage through to final destination from MIA.

Only thing i didn't check was if transatlantic baggage allowance would be carried onto the LR flight.

Should have booked it all at the same time but was taken aback with the price. :)

(Minimum transfer time was quoted as 1 hour 10 mins using the flight connection route)

The above link does show the connection times to/from EDI. Times are for summer schedule though.

If baggage is checked through from MIA to EDI, you will get the PE allowance all the way through. If you are collecting luggage at LHR and check in for EDI then you will only get the 23kg allowance.

The links posted have been redirecting straight to the VS home page lately - I would guess that it is because the VS website is currently undergoing a couple of changes.

Hello hello,

The PNR suggestion was just so the onus would be on VS to get ya back home again if there was any delay. Slightly less stress should there be any probs.

It takes an hour and 10 minutes for the LR flight to deplane and for the coach to drive you to T3? Wow, slow driving :P

If you are transiting onto a VS long haul flight from LR you do get the long haul baggage allowance. They should be clear on this when you check in ii) If not just show them the onward flight booking and they should be able to clear it up and check you all the way through.
