Hi

We are due to fly from Manchester on VS075 at 11.15 on Thursday morning and there have been severe weather warnings issued for gale force winds :(!

Does anyone have any idea if this could possibly effect our flight ?|

I hope I'm worrying over nothing :w

I'd be grateful of any advise "good or bad"!!! :0

Many thanks

Unfortunately that question is just something that nobody can answer with any accuracy or certainty. Forecasts are just that, a forecast, so until the day and time of your flight then it would just be a guess.

Ultimately the airline and airport will do everything they can to get the flight away on time, any delay costs them a lot of money. Of course, the Captain has a massive say in the final decision, and I am sure if it is safe and possible to fly they will.

Hi
It will depend on the wind direction and strength. We had 2 aborted landings at MAN on vs74 in April last year and were diverted to Birmingham. We were bussed up and English Rose repositioned about 16.30hrs. This meant the outbound vs73 was delayed. It transpired that other a/c were landing but the crosswinds were too strong for a747.
Hopefully the winds will be in the right direction and you will be fine.

Have a good trip & enjoy the sun

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. It is miserable when all your looking forwards to a trip are suddenly on hold because of something out of your control.
Good Luck.
