Miles upgrade & miles earned

Hi,

I recently booked economy flexible to vegas & from NYC, I used miles to upgrade to prem outbound & upper inbound.

Can I expcet to earn miles for the base ticket I purchased or have I got this wrong??

You're entitled to the miles on the paid portion of your flight, yes. BUT you may well (99.9%) have to call up Flying Club after your flight to get them manually added.

There have been cases where some people have miraculously seen the miles appear automatically - but they're few and far between. The normal process is fly > call > miles added.
