We are flying to Dubai on Thursday in PE managed to bag 4 G's for the return trip but no luck going out yet, will have to try at the airport ):
As we love the clubhouse decided to book the Guest List package which is not cheap I know but ticks all the boxes for us. I phoned today to check everything was OK and was told the two cars will turn up at 3pm :0 two cars why we had one Mercedes people carrier last year! Apparently Tristar no longer supply the Mercedes people carrier to the guest list passengers but would rather send two Volvo's for a family of four instead.
I used miles to book Tristar transport coming back only to be told I would need to spend double the amount of miles to have two cars as again Tristar will not provide the people carrier for a transfer made by miles!
Oh well tail of woe over can't wait to hit the club house and the sunshine of Dubai!!!

The guest list price structure is set out clearly on the website:

http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/gb/en/th ... -list.html

For four passengers it should cost £680 irrespective of whether they send one or two cars. If you've been charged more than that, then you should complain.

As for the return, I would call back and challenge the double miles thing, asking to speak to a supervisor if necessary. Ask them where in the T&Cs it says they won't supply a people carrier for miles bookings, and where it states the maximum number of passengers who can travel on a single booking. Because I sure can't see it anywhere. You may not get anywhere but it's worth a shot.

Good luck with getting Gs!

I was prompted by this thread to look again at the prices for the guest list. £680 for 4 people... Ouch!

Quite. Seems a hell of a lot for what is basically a glorified taxi and an airport lounge - albeit a very lovely one.

For less than a quarter of that you could book a normal cab and buy 4 passes for the not-as-lovely but still perfectly adequate No.1 lounge.

But hey, some people are clearly willing to pay and let's face it VS need the money!

From the T&C's

8. Package is only available to passengers who hold tickets in either the Premium Economy or Economy class cabin. Passengers travelling the Upper Class cabin are not eligible.

G's would not be eligable.

Just to up date two G's going out came up this morning phoned UC to grab them and it all went horribly wrong turns out my G's coming back aren't ticketed?? and I need to pay for the upgrade and taxes. Heated debate started and after 40 minutes I am transfered to Crawley Towers a Supervisor looks through the booking and says the whole lot is an absolute mess. He says he will phone me back in an hour after he has worked out what has gone on.
1 hour later he phones back all 4 of us in upper class both ways for just over £200 and 20k air miles. Guest list cancelled and refunded Tristar people carrier all in place.
Turns out if the UC lines are busy the calls transfer to the Swansea call centre and that is where all my woes started.
All in all stress levels through the roof but Virgin delivered in the end. Clubhouse and UC both ways Woo Hoo. Wive and girls are all very happy!!

Hi Hamster is correct, unfortunately for your daughters. The youngest age for a treatment in the Clubhouse is 12.

That's interesting as they both had their nails done last time they were there maybe nails aren't classed the same as a facial etc. We will see!
