Upgrades - Never Say Never

Back in October I booked a miles plus money trip to MCO on 24th Dec and back from MIA on 9th Jan - 2 adults 2 kids for just over £2100 and 8000 FC miles.

This morning I get a courtesy call from a very friendly lady at VA just to check that everything was OK and if I had any questions about forthcoming trip.

She confirmed my economy seats (class O) in the Bubble were still booked and all seemed well.

As the phone call was about to end I asked if there was any chance to upgrade to Premium using miles and of course expected the answer to be a straight NO seeing as we were on cheap tickets.

After a minute or so on hold she returned to say YES!!!!
We have seats available for £104 plus 12500 miles per person.

So I asked if I could call her back in a few minutes whilst I check with the MRS - who said she was happy in Economy with the kids but I should take up the offer myself.

So I called back to secure a seat 5 rows in front (the last one available upstairs) and some nice peace and quiet for 10 hours.

So I guess there is always a chance.....

Not looking forward though to the returned flight from MIA, rammed and we are down the back.

I've just got a sneaking suspicion that when you get to the airport you'll find the BPs have been swapped and you're stuck back in Economy with the kids.

I have looked on manage my booking and the seat I was given is showing as mine
