Hi,

Someone told me that the current Heathrow T3 clubhouse was going to become Emirates lounge eventually, and Virgin would operate out of a new Clubhouse? Is there any truth in this and if so is there a date? I have flights booked in March and September and love the current clubhouse, and wondered if ill get to use it again?

Thanks!

I have not seen or heard of this rumour. Was it from a reliable source? I find it strange to think that VS would move their CH but maybe they are looking for something bigger, that's the only logical thing I can think of.

Really can't see EK moving - the Clubhouse is the wrong end of T3 for them. All their LHR services are A380, and these park at the pier where EK have their current, amazing lounge, from where you can board the aircraft directly. Why would they want to move?

Well it was one on Virgin UC crew who told me?! I was surprised too! I tried to probe for more, but it was during dinner service - this was back in April however!
I guess time will tell, but I'll be gutted if that is the case! I hope they don't move clubhouses...

I understand from a "reliable" source that it is being moved to Manchester . Looking forward to an improvement to the one currently on offer. y)

Perhaps to a bigger space to accommodate Delta passengers. There was a thread a while ago about how everyone would fit in.

I would very surprised if they move to a smaller facility. Given they have recently updated JFK and EWR - why would they do the reverse at home base.

Add to the onboard bar going as examples of galley gossip, not the most reliable of sources.

Ahhh 'galley gossip' (liking that phrase slinky)... hear all, trust nothing. I was promised that properly opaque windows for the UCDS on the A333s was incoming about 8 months ago ... have they delivered yet.. No!!

Will have to wait until the New Year to see for sure, but one possibility is that VS will be opening up the CH to the DL frequents without restriction at first... then when they realise that the stricter policy on CH AU guests is not freeing up the space required, will it be dropped to the 'have to be flying on VS metal' category.

We must not forget that the No.1 Traveller lounge in T3 is listed as a surrogate 'SkyLounge' too, so it is also likely DL pax will be welcomed in there instead.

Perhaps it will be only the DL status pax that are travelling on VS metal (in ECO or PE) that will end up sharing our clean LHR CH air :P

That is one change that I believe is nearly ready to be rolled out after the proper safety tests are complete.
