VS 96 Cancelled...in June 2014!

Evening All!

This morning whilst starting my last day at work for 16 days ): I received an email and text stating that our return flight from YVR in June 2014 had been cancelled and that we had been booked on the same flight the next day! Seems a bit weird that they should do this so far in advance...any ideas as to why? ?|

Just means we have to extend our RV rental for an additional day and get a bonus night ^)

The new 2014 schedule was only announced a few weeks ago. How early dod you book?

It really is a one way street in the airlines favour isn't it on these things?

Had you wanted to change your flight, you'd have been hit with change fees and fare difference.

VS change it by 24 hours, costing the customer the extra money of more time away plus more time off work and there's no penalty to them.

Booked a PE mileage return in September with the hope of scrabbling a couple of G's, Darren!

You are on the money there Clarkey......I'd rather know this far in advance so I can plan the additional time but it seems changing a customers plans isn't massively important!

Same thing happened to us last year at this time had booked up in august for June 2013, I had already booked all the accommodation being super efficient.

So had to ring several booking agencies to re route us the extra day, it did cost a little more about £100 and the stress of re-arranging several hotels. When I rang Virgin they had cancelled the Sunday flight and said we could re-arrange to whatever we wanted or cancel, we were on G's.

MERRY Christmas TO ALL, we are having Xmas lunch today as family are here, and another by ourselves on Wednesday, Hic, Linda
