Using Miles from DUB with Delta

Folks,

I know you can now book with Delta and use VS miles...but is there anyway to find out how many you need for a given flight in advance? I'm just toying with ideas at the moment, so need to have an idea of how far my miles will go with Delta. Also, I'm assuming I can use them ex-DUB, rather than through a UK airport. Hence avoiding the dreaded APD!
