DTCI and Checking bags to SYD

A couple of questions that I should know the answer to, but need the greater knowledge of the V-flyer brain to help me.

1) I'm flying to Sydney with the OH next week and I have booked a limo to LHR with miles. Does it automatically drop us off at the DTCI or do I have to request that?

2) As these are G class UC reward tickets, I had to book the two legs on two separate bookings with two PNRs. We are flying all the way through and I want to make sure my bags get checked all the way LHR-HKG-SYD. I had a chat with the call centre and the lady I spoke to was not very helpful. She said there was no way of linking the two PNRs.

I'll check in for both flights before I leave so I have both sets of BPs. Is there anything I need to do so my bags don't stay in HKG? (Apart from ask nicely at the DTCI desk).

The CDC should take you straight to DTCI, but just confirm with the driver to be on the safe side.

Don't know about the bag issue - as they're separate PNRs it may be a question of "the computer says no" but DTCI may be able to work some magic.
