I've been waiting to order until the month of the flight (didn't seem to allow me to choose my flight before May), because I want to get a couple of bottles of the decent duty free tequila onboard, and they often get it wrong (gave me the crappy coffee flavoured one, ran out of any of any of it at least twice, forgot to ask me about duty free at least twice).

Now went to https://retailtherapyshopping.com/ and its got less duty free on there than the sparse selection at the tinyiest uk airport. No mention of tequila. I hope its onboard still, but has this half decent service gone completely to pot now?

A total of 14 different bottles. Shit, my local corner shop has a larger collection.

VS do seem to have now changed their duty free supplier. It always used to be supplied by Tourvest but now seems to be DFASS.

No idea if the actual in-flight duty free selection is any different now sorry?

I have just noticed that you can now pre-order tobacco products for in-flight delivery online as well. You never used to be able to do that and always had to ring up to pre-order tobacco products previously.

They have changed suppliers. Before my last flight I tried to do a pre order for delivery onboard but was unable to as it was during the period of changeover. I can't remember but I do seem to recall the new onboard shopping brochure has less of a selection. Will confirm after my EWR flight next Saturday

They had good deals, even compared of the duty free in the us, for patron tequila. In the uk end, all you get is the grot tequila, and at ex-eu prices. So it used to be good for that.

Obviously no more. Would be nice if someone flying soon could see if the Patron tequila still features in the book onboard.

Hate to say it, tempted to fly thomson if those are deals on board. It can be ludicriously cheap - LGW-MCO on a Sunday for 2 weeks I found for 170 pp with all bags, taxes, food over easier for 2 people (flight only).

For the regular prices they charge I'll pay extra for VS everytime, but at 2-300 quid less pp than VS, it's an easy choice for another holiday.

I think I have just pre-ordered.... I've been trying for a couple of weeks to order 2 bottles of vodka, just to see us on in the room while we're there ;) I kept getting an error 'unable to calculate shipping' finally I gave in and phoned on Tuesday, I have to say it didn't sound like anyone was typing in my order, but I did receive a confirmation email within about an hour.

I did say to hubby at the time, hmmm not sure about this, it did say 'inflight' but it also said delivery address 'my home address' and there were no flight details on the email.

Received an email today:-

You have recently completed a pre-order request, but I am unsure of what it is you require

Your shipping method states Inflight, but no flight details have been advised or is this a mail order request

Please could you change your order to reflect what you would like and also please could you change your contact number
as it only has 10 digits and 11 are on a mobile phone

(the lady I spoke to had repeated my number back to me and I confirmed it)

So I called again, I explained that I had called on Tuesday and I was then advised that I must have pressed the wrong button and asked for delivery to my home, I again explained that I had placed the order on the phone. The lady I spoke to took my flight details again and said ok that's fine, one bottle of smirnoff.. I said, no that's 2 bottles - she replied ok thanks bye.

I know it's no big deal but I'm not really expecting the order to be on the flight :)

I had that issue too this week on an inflight preorder. Can't remember exactly what I did other than emptying basket and trying again but got the order through in the end and have received a confirmation email. Preodering on BAs site today was much easier and wider choice......

With 6 days until Vegas and Palm Springs that would be the last thing on my mind :D . Pretty sure its just as cheap to drive to the local liquor store when you land. Last time I picked up some Barcardi in Vegas it sure was.

I know its a diversion if you're talking about flight prices, but where do Thompson offer 170 quid returns to/from?
