I don't know if virgin is missing an opportunity, or just wants to have a quiet little sale, price matching BA, but as pointed out elsewhere in another thread, you can get UC to Montego Bay, Jamaica for just under 1300 quid, which appears to be a price match to BA's club price to Kingston.

I personally wouldn't do Kingston myself, but definitely Montego Bay again.

I just wonder how many of these silent sales Virgin seems to have.

I brought the Montego Bay prices to the forum's attention - I think we should have a unique subject/topic where any members can post amazing fares when they find them - what do you think folks?

I would definitely be up for this, but as a relative newbie I probably wouldn't know what a good price was if it slapped me round the face with a wet fish.

Under 1500 quid UC anywhere.
Under 900 quid PE anywhere.

Seen prices (in last year) 1290 Montego Bay and 1250 Cancun.

Listing current high availability reward routes would be nice (some say Tokyo is good at the moment, Vancouver was good to fly to last year).

You can post these specials in the " clubhouse" section of the forums.

There has been an odd deal posted there already. Seem to think this started with champagne deals at certain supermarkets. (Surprising enough, not that champagne is the staple diet of a v-flyer you understand. ): )

These bits of the site are available for members only.

I'm not sure what involves being a member, but I've posted and read here several years, and not seen a clubhouse forum...

Re membership - can anyone tell me how you change your membership level? Just realised that Red is not the most cost-effective option and want to change but can't find out how to! Thanks.
