We are going to MJB next week for a weeks holiday. Managed to get 2 G's on the way out and 1 G and 1 P for the return leg. When I try to book a dummy booking for return leg in UC for the way back it says no flights available. When I log into hubbys booking (who is doing the PE on the way back) it says we can bid for an UC upgrade. If there are no flights available why does it say we can bid for the upgrade ??

Thanks in advance

Upgrading on miles gets you a reward seat,
bidding gets any available seat and they usually start bidding at an exorbitant price.
It does mean currently there are seats available just not reward seats, if they are still there nearer to your flight you may yet be able to upgrade on miles.

Hi Dicky

I've tried a dummy cash booking and it says no seats, which is why I was confused. As sealink suggests I'm guessing they are hoping for no shows, which for hubby sounds like no upgrade to a G for him, oh well.
