Not sure how many people know this but if your travelling from Jfk and your flying economy with Virgin Atlantic you can pay $50 to use the Delta sky lounge. Complimentary bar, snacks and use of the showers.
Seems like a lot of money for use of a delta sky lounge, that being said I've never been in the JFK lounge, but based on all other ones I've been in then there is no way i'd pay $50 to enter one.
I believe Delta recently opened a "SkyDeck" at JFK. Similar to the roof terrace at LHR, I believe one of DL's flagship lounges is at JFK.
That being said, $50 is pricey for entry to a lounge, but you can be charged similar for a hole in the wall with United (and Delta) and if you have a long layover from a feeder flight before you fly internationally, it might be well worth the cost.

Truly complimentary or "UA Complimentary", i.e. two drinks vouchers and an offer for help with your condition if you try to pay for third?
We can get better, because we're not dead yet
The lounge we used was the one with the sky deck, the views were amazing and it was nice to sit in the sun with a cold one . Its a full complimentary bar and a few snacks. $50 is a little overpriced however if your planning to spend a few hours at the airport its a good choice in my opinion.
