Dummy booking matrix no more?

Hi all,

Just been looking for some dummy G's to LAX in November. Going through the usual motions of going through the dummy reward booking, it seems you only get a message now saying that no seats are available plus a link to the Live Chat - not the calendar view we're used to. Have this changed recently or am I missing something? I hope it's the latter as another VS website problem will make me throw my laptop out the window!

Update - it was just me and bad luck with LAX - just tried for HKG and the matrix popped up. Phew! Although grr to no G's for months both ways to LAX in Nov!

LAX goes down to one VS flight a day from the end of Oct so I'd expect reward availability to be even scarcer than before I'm afraid.

In the last 4 months of 2014 there appear to be only 5 days with G availability for LHR-LAX at the moment. That may change of course, but certainly slim pickings right now.

Thanks gumshoe. That's a real pain! Will DL be taking up the slack?

Yes. DL are taking over the VS23/24 rotation.

In return VS pick up one of DL's Atlanta rotations.

When I phoned a few months ago about reward flights on Delta they said you can get them but have to do the whole flight on miles. There was no facility to buy Economy and upgrade to Business.
I await the VS Atlanta route to see what availability there will be there for upgrades.
