I paid about an extra £56 in taxes and 15K in miles to upgrade from PE to UC from Mco to Lgw next April. If you want to change your return date to suit reward availability you will be charged £25 change fee too. Hope that helps :)

Mrs Hull and I are booked on PE reward flights to JNB in November, I managed to get an UC upgrade on the LHR-JNB leg for Mrs Hull for 10,000 miles and £49.50 in taxes y) the only trouble is that leaves me stuck in PE until the next G comes up n( needless to say I'm checking about four times a day.

Thanks all. I have £260 bill on my credit card for two of us upgrading with a date change. I thought the date change was £100 each, but at the time of booking they said they were waiving it. So it still doesn't seem to add up.
I'm happy to pay it if it's right but guess I should query it with VS.

Got through to Virgin quite quickly.
When I did the first upgrade from PE to UC for the outbound in April, they changed the booking but didn't process the ticket or fee. So my £260 is for two of us both ways including a date change.
Thanks again to all who responded.
