At last, my 60 days are up and I can book my UC seats to JFK. Knowing what a nightmare it is queueing at immigration there, I wanted to optimise my seat to be fairly near the exit door on the plane, without compromising comfort and noise levels etc., during the flight.

Does anyone know what exit the 747-400 uses on these flights - either rear of row 19 or row 25? I was thinking about seats 22 & 23A on the assumption that we would use the further back exit doors.

Can anyone shed any light or recommend?

Thanks.

The latter.

But even so, in the interests of peace and comfort, I'd go for seats in the A zone in the nose (rows 12-19).

It's a lovely quiet mini-cabin, only 7 rows and 2 seats in each so 14 in total.

For a couple, many V-Flyers would recommend 12A/K right at the front as they're very close together and ideal for chatting. Otherwise I'd go for 18/19A or 18/19K.

True you won't be first off at JFK but there'll only be a few passengers ahead of you as they hold PE & Economy back until UC has deplaned. And if you walk fast you can probably beat many of your fellow UC passengers to immigration.

The B zone (rows 20+), with 4 seats in each row, is more crowded and IMHO nowhere near as pleasant as the nose which feels like a private jet.

We did this flight in November. You MUST do the nose, you really must. I think it may be against V Flyer rules if you don't. :o)

We were off and out in 11 minutes ): on 17 and 18A - TR here http://v-flyer.com/forum/index.php?f=6& ... =viewtopic
