Reduction in mileage needed for some reward flights

This is good news if true. I regularly fly to JNB and when I last booked a G it was 120,000 miles. Just looking at availability and it is now 100,000. Also looks like Mileage reduced on economy and premium bookings!

I may be wrong but I think shanghai as well as Cape Town reduced.

Doesn't seem to be a change for upgrades though

I booked 2 X P fares for myself and Mrs Hull to JNB in November for 80,000 miles per person (now showing 75,000) but have managed to separately upgrade both outbound flights to G fares for an additional 10,000 miles each, just on the look out for G's to appear for our return.
