Sports Equpiment

Hi

can anyone clarify the position on transporting sporting equpiment ( scuba kit) on Virgin Atlantic , how much does it cost ?

It's free so long as it's in the one bag and doesn't weigh more than 23kg. You can even take a spare (empty) tank with you which surprised me.

Yeah, just tell them the extra bag is scuba gear and it will be checked in free. Mine may sometimes contain things other than scuba gear, I couldn't possibly say

I have never been asked for my certification but always carry it with me just in case when I check in or bag drop.

I'll tell you something I wouldn't do, when checking in a pram I wouldn't have a bag of nappies strapped into the carry net under the pram.
