The oasis of peace and tranquility reached by battling through the nightmare that is the TSA; actually, they were quite efficient, it was the 6 blokes in front that were the problem.

They were faffing about for King and Country, or President or El Supremo, or someone; but, h*ll, bag, shoes, wallet, how difficult is that?

Anyway, I'm here and I'm starting to cool down; Sharma (permission received to name the name), the lovely lady who has worked in the ClubHouse for the past eight years inbound with a beer and a menu.

I'm aiming to sample the food as I missed lunch, due to a last minute decision to head back to Forbidden Planet, on Broadway, for some some presents for the delightful Lauren, and then to pick up a batch of photographs, by the late Bob Carlos Clarke, that I had arranged to be packed in acid free paper and mounting card prior to entombment in the vault that is my suitcase.

Escape from New York was timed to perfection as the City is massively congested since the UN are in session and Obama is in town; luckily, I extracted myself from the Ritz-Carlton, just in time, and re-located to Giraffe.

So prawn summer roll will be followed by pan fried fillet of cod, with cucumber, peas, sweet bay shrimp and white wine cream. y)

Hope the secret service and myriad protection details in the city didn't spoil and slow things too much on your last day.

Enjoy your time in the oasis of JFK and have a great flight back too 8D

Thanks Joey!

I was walking across Union Square, last night, and decided that I need to book another trip; over-wintering in the Rocky mountains might be fun; I'll work on Lauren ......
