Apologies if this question has been asked previously. I believed that if you have made a booking in UC that you would be able to reserve your seat straight away rather than just 60 days before. I have logged into my FC account but am unable to make the reservation. Is this because I have a Z fare? I am not travelling till Aug 15. ?|

As far as I'm aware, UC bookings are also bound by the T-60 days rule, too. We're travelling at the beginning of December and haven't been able to make seat selections yet.

This was supposed to be the case, but in typical VS IT fashion, these changes have been pushed back with a new date of TBD. As it stands, it's T-60 for all seat requests.

When (or if) the new system comes in, you'll be able to select seats in any cabin - not just UC - at the time of booking. It'll remain free in UC & PE but most Y passengers will have to pay £25.

As syrome says though, until that system goes live the T-60 rule still applies in all cabins (and IMHO long may it stay because in future everyone apart from those with the luxury of being able to book on the day flights go on sale 11 months in advance will be at a disadvantage).
