Good question. I just checked for 5-12 July and it is indeed coming back with £5400. It's throwing up D class, which is the second dearest UC bucket - yet Flightstats suggests there are plenty of discounted Z fares available.

Could be a glitch - try giving FC a call.

quick update just chatted with an online assistant and he came back with this.. flights are not on sale in Z Class at present. The website is providing you with applicable fares for classes that are currently available for sale.think i'll have to check prices everyday

Welcome to the world of VS, a bit silly really though the way they do this, it drives people into the hands of the competition.

We're looking to travel the same route at this time too. Like you, we tend to get a Z when available (or if the Gods smile on us, a G). At the moment, even an Econ ticket is over £1k!

If you're prepared to start your journey in Dublin the day before and spend the night in a hotel at Gatwick, I've found DUB-LHR/LGW-LAS return for £1375 on Expedia!

Even when you add the flights from MAN-DUB at the start, LHR-MAN at the end and the hotel and train fares between LHR & LGW you're still making a big saving, it's just whether you can put up with the extra journey time & hassle of getting to Dublin.

We've got a couple of Gs MAN-LAS next July - booked them just before the increased availability came online from SFO/LAX so we're coming back via JFK. Ah well, can't beat a couple of nights in New York!
