I have managed to book a reward flight in PE for two adults and three kids next August LHR - ATL.

On the same ticket / itinerary we have a cash fare on Delta down to MCO for £79.00 each (and seats booked already).

VS confirmed that the luggage will be through checked – I was trying to make sense of the luggage allowance and cost on the Delta leg – does it mirror VS and is it at no cost or will we have to pay per case at check in for the Delta leg?

I’ve looked at both web sites but cannot see it easily spelt out.

FYI you'll need to collect your luggage in ATL and re-drop it at the connections belt after reclaim as in the US you have to collect at your first point of entry.

On the way back it'll go all the way back from MCO.

Also there's no charge. You carry forward the allowance from the VS PE flight. Its a bit of a faff having to pickup luggage and re-drop but really not much of an issue. I would just say that on your return from at MCO double check with whoevers on the desk that it is tagged all the way through...though they should pick up on it and do it automatically

That is standard practice for flights into the US - you clear immigration and customs at your first point of entry not your final destination.

You bags will be tagged (i.e. checked) through to your final destination but you will collect them to clear customs and then hand them over at the relevant airline desk just after the customs hall.
