Hi guys

So now that my international flights are booked, I will unveil...my full itinerary as I am after some advice with another little bit of it:

Tuesday : Fly to DUB from LCY and then back to LHR, back home.
Wednesday: CH, Champers, Champers Champers, fly to LAX
Thursday-Monday: In LA, but with a Day Trip to San Fransico on Virgin America
Monday night: Train to Washington DC (3 Nights)
Thursday-Friday: Washington DC
Saturday Night: Train to Miami (1 Night)
Sunday-Friday: Miami
Fly home VS6 on Friday.

Now looking just straight on VX's website I am getting a First Class return fare LAX-SFO of roughly $500 and Expedia is giving it to me for £398 which is of course a massive rip off vs booking direct.

Does anyone have any tips for booking with VX? Is their First Class product worth it, I notice that they use the SFO Clubhouse at SFO but I think you have to buy access even on A First Class ticket?

Secondly, I am totally excited by this idea of Drive Through Check In. I live in Peterborough and have free first class train travel to London as well as an extremely cheap rate for a first class ticket to Heathrow, so I am trying to weigh up, is it worth the £50 to just get a cab from Kings Cross to Heathrow just for the novelty of DTCI?

Yes, they use the clubhouse at SFO and yes you need to pay even if flying First with VX, also, it's not in the same terminal - honestly, T2 is such a pleasurable experience at SFO I wouldn't worry about not having access to a lounge, other than you'll need to pay for your champers.

VX First is a great product :) .
I love DTCI as it makes the process so stress free - I'd be opting for it if you haven't used it before ( and you've enough time to phone the cab reg through).SFO CH is fab too ( even without the fabulous and now retired Claire).IMHO it's worth the spend :D .
