LAX Aircraft Change

Just noticed that my VS7 flight from LHR-LAX in early May is now showing as A340-600 equipment instead of the previously planned 787-9. Checked the seat map a few days ago and was 787 and tonight was surprised to see the A340. Checked a few dates and it seems the change has been made for April flights but reverts to 787 some time in mid-May. However I wonder if this is just the start of the changes.

Shame as I was kind of looking forward to trying the 787, although as I'm in economy it is a result I'd say!

I'd say result for you. Eight abreast on a quiet 360 vs 9 abreast squeezed into a 789 and I know which I'd prefer.

I tried out an empty Y seat walking through the cabin and was surprised how comfy it was and the legroom was good too
