VS007 & VS008 - Pushchair collection

Does anyone know if you get pushchairs returned at the gate or at the baggage carousel at LAX & LHR (we'll be on an A346 if that makes any difference)?

Not too concerned either way, but obviously don't want to hang around at the gate unnecessarily if the pushchair's going to be doing laps of the baggage carousel!!!

2 years ago when we traveled LAX to LHR we gate checked a pushchair that was delivered at the gate at LHR. Last year, we did exactly the same and it was not available to us until baggage claim. We asked why and was told we needed to stipulate we wanted it back at the gate on arrival into LHR.......

The walk to passport control in LHR is long and a pushchair is a definite advantage

At LAX, immigration is down a set of stairs and a very short walk from the gate meaning it's less important (or even useful - stairs) into LAX.
