Does anyone know what the menu shall be for Economy on the MAN/MCO flight on the 19th June and the PE menu for the return leg on the 4th July. I have a really fussy 12 year old and it doesn't seem to give me the option to change her to a kids meal on the Manage your booking section. If I have a step for a hint I might end up packing lots of goodies for her. Many thanks

A 12 year is regarded as an adult so hence no offer of a child meal in the special meals menu.

Will be the usual chicken / beef / pasta variations.

If they are that fussy then yes best take food they like but remember

(a) no liquids as they need to get through security
(b) CC won't be able to heat anything up
(c) Best to leave any thing not eaten on the plane in case it does not meet US customs requirements - meat / vegetables etc

And ditto on the way back.

Kids meals don't show up on the special meals menu. You have to call up to book them.

My teen hates airline food, the smell makes her really poorly. So I always take prepacked sandwiches, fruit pots and other snacks, binning what she doesn't use before leaving the aircraft.
She's now got it down to an art where she can will herself to sleep at the first sign of food being prepared to be served, and that works ok for her.

Have a proper meal in the airport before you go, Wetherspoons at MAN and Outback Steakhouse at MCO followed by some home made sandwiches on board if they don't fancy the offerings.

For a 12 year old I wouldn't have bothered with a kids meal anyway as the adult meals are better quality. Normally my kids will steal my dinner and I end up with the chicken nuggets and spiral pasta. The food ex-MCO is particularly bad.

I will second the proposal for eating at Outback at MCO and skipping the on board offering for the return.
