Must be the offer I picked up on last night (and reported on the ex-DUB thread)

I got LHR-MSP-ORD-ATL-LHR for £1.1k on DL metal in J/F (but earning VS TPs an miles) - ORD is my destination.

As I said in the other thread it does sometimes pay to check the ex LHR prices as well and don't assume that ex-EU will automatically be cheaper then ex-UK

Then I accidental refreshed google flights this morning and it had gone down to £1k. :(

As a result of this thread went over to the VS website to take a look. Good dates to ORD & DTW. VS metal to ORD and DTW ( I was looking at the last two weeks in October) with onward connections with DL to various Eastern destinations.

Even came across DL from LHR-ATL-ORD-JFK-LHR for £995 return in J (with the JFK-LHR in UC)

Saturday night is needed but worth checking out to see what you can find.

If you want to save £16, Expedia coming in at £979.

Edit: Quick question, I've never flown a connection with delta before, would I really earn an additional 6 Tier points for doing return Z connections eg. JFK-ORD-JFK.....or would it just be the normal 10 tier points for the VS LHR-JFK-LHR part?
