Black Card - a couple of questions.

Got my Black cards through last week, used it first time last night.

Just a couple of questions.

Is the date my account opens the date i applied for and was accepted or is it the date the cards are activated or the date they are first used? - going to set a calendar reminder to cancel next year.

Also when do the first lot of points hit?

I take it as the date the annual charge is applied as it's around the date I apply(ish). The other dates could be weeks later.
First set of bonus points hit on the first statement. Take only a day or two to get to your FF account.

The points hit on the date you are billed, a couple of weeks before your payment deadline.
So first points should arrive a month after taking out the card.

Hope it's ok to hijack this thread with another credit card question.

I signed up for a black credit card. At the time I was a red flying club member, so I used that membership number. In the time it has take to receive the card(s), I have made it to silver and unexpectedly my membership number has changed. Does anyone know if I need to contact the credit card company (or flying club) to make sure the miles from the credit card still get credited to the correct place?

No need to change your number with the credit card, the miles will still post OK, I was exactly the same and have never had a problem.

another hitch hicker

can anyone tell me when the bonus miles from the black card would hit my account ?
I applied around 6th October and received my card around 13th October, I have already spent the £3000 spend for the extra bonus miles (having an extension built so easy to hit) but i'm not sure when the miles will hit the account ?

They should arrive on your next card statement, along with the normal miles that you attained

fab thanks ... im just hoping its before my flights are realised as it could mean a reward seat rather than an upgrade
