We're flying to Boston from Heathrow on Boxing day on the 0920hrs Delta flight, we would have preferred Virgin but it gets in to Boston too late for us. We're flying Delta One but the itinerary shows a 'breakfast' meal only.
Should we fill up with the usually excellent food in the Virgin UC lounge before the flight, or is the breakfast meal alone on the flight going to suffice for the duration? Many thanks in advance.

Firstly I would expect a proper meal on an 8 hour flight.
Secondly I guess it depends what time you are planning to get to the CH.
If it were me I'd be there early and enjoy the breakfast in the CH.
I have never enjoyed a cooked breakfast in the air, but in fairness they have always been at the end of a flight not the beginning.

I would eat well on the ground.
Anything in the air can be treated as a second breakfast or you can just opt for some fruit. If it's inedible, then at least you won't go hungry.

Plane food is plain food. No matter how it's dressed up & served. it's still reheated crap.
