Using VS miles to book award flight on Delta

Is there a way to check for award seat availability on Delta's website, (that is redeemable with VS miles) ?

I realise we have to phone up VS to book partner awards, but before phoning I wanted to have a look at availability, in the same way we might look on the VS website for G availability. But as far as I can see on Delta's website, when I try a miles booking, there is availability for every flight, it just increases the number of miles required. So is there a threshold beyond which it is not considered an available seat for partner award?

Os is the only way to phone VS and ask them to try and book it?!

Afraid there's nothing for it but to call, I couldn't fathom any link between what shows on the DL site and what VS had access to. Also, be prepared to get conflicting advice from different agents, by and large they don't really know what they're talking about with partner redemptions and lots just make it up!
