What are your opinions of the 789 ?

Hi all

My flight in September 2016 has been changed from a 333 to a 789.

I am looking forward to flying on a plane I have not been on before.

Now that VS have had the 789 in service for a while it would be interesting to know people's thoughts and comparisons, particularly in PE as i have seats in that class.

Mood lighting, seats (PE), cabin air quality, turbulence, feel of the cabins etc

only been on it for one trip, LHR-IAD back in january (i suspect they were using it to run-in the 789 before switching it to busier routes), i much preferred it to the 333

i was in UC (got an upgrade at check-in) but the flight was really empty so i had a look in PE too, the cabin capacity is smaller, the seats looked similar, can't imagine VS would go for inferior ones after the UCDS debacle, a colleague was in EC and said he found it really comfy as well

during daytime the big windows give good views, the electrical 'dimming' takes a little while to fully darken but is then very effective

the cabin walls aren't as aggressively curved in which i think makes it feel roomier than aircraft of similar width but with more typical curve

mood lighting was pleasant, though sometimes the colour choice seemed odd

the cabin is much quieter, air quality good, smooth flight, overall a good experience, didn't feel at all cramped, although with it so empty i wonder if the feel would change on a full flight

toilets were spacious too
