If so you might want to check your seat reservations just in case you've been moved like me.

My VS44 in March is now showing an LHR 747 config rather than an LGW one.

I assume they've allocated G-VBIG (Tinker Belle) which is meant to be moving from LHR to LGW next month. They're supposed to be reconfiguring it to match the rest of the LGW fleet but I suspect they haven't changed the seat map yet.

That would explain it, thank you.

Call me sceptical but with almost three months to go I don't rate my chances of actually getting G-VROC on the day and keeping my favourite seat very highly.

I may be answering my own question if the OP's post is anything to go by, but is it going to be allocated to any flights in advance or used purely as a standby if needed?

I'm on the 75/74 in March and booked in PE. I've just checked my booking and the seat plan still shows both flights as a LGW 747 as scheduled.

We still have the same seats up the pointy end in 38 days.
I'm very glad I checked because I thought I had done everything, but I had missed the advanced passenger information.
I have done that but now have to recheck I have done everything else.
I am definitely not suffering from OCD but I'll probably check three or four times now.

Has it been confirmed that VBIG will not have a bar fitted ? That will leave some amount of space in the upper cabin !

What no bar? I feel a definite 'Only Fools and Horses' moment coming on here.

Looks like G-VROC is working the VS15 today, as she did yesterday. Only changed from an LGW config last night apparently so 27 spare seats in UC!

Suggesting we can expect some last minute switches over the next couple of months.

What, no bar :-O ...!? I realise the bar onboard LGW config 747s is not so good, but removing it completely...? I thought the bar was one of the selling points for UC.

Just checked and our flight on April 1st, VS15, has become a LHR 747.

What we are now trying to do is get our friends who are travelling on the same day, but on the earlier flight, moved across to the new one. Currently no miles seats shown so fingers crossed.

I assume they'll still sell the flight as if it were an LGW 747 (ie 14 UC seats). Otherwise they'd have to downgrade a lot of people if there's a late aircraft change.

The chances of miles upgrades on the day at the airport, though, are probably very good. And on busy flights there'll no doubt be some op ups given the significantly smaller Y cabin on G-VROC (although I'm sure she'll have been deliberately rostered to work the flights with the lowest loads in Y).

We're flying on the VS085/VS086 (MAN-LAS) in July and are in PE on the outbound and UC on the inbound. I selected our seats a while back, but when I log in now it just says that "where's my seat?" is currently unavailable.
